Currently 6 series of regular Pinky Street dolls totaling 16 in number (a 7th series is slated for release in Spring, 2008) and 1 accessory kit have been released (the fate of a second kit is in question), as well as repaints, accessory stickers, markers (for making custom Pinky's), and a series of DVD's and comic books. Repaints are re-issued releases of the original series dolls, with different colored clothes and/or different colored hair (as well as alternate hairstyles for the original re-paints of PK001-PK005). Repaints are differentiated from the original-color releases by sequential lettering (e.g., the first repaint for the first doll is referred to as 1A, the second repaint as 1B, etc.) The figures are compatible with 1:18 scale dollhouses, furniture, vehicles and other accessories.
There are also many special edition Pinkys such as Go! Go!, In Town and Acchi Kochi. There are also figures designed by BabySue in collaboration with various other Japanese artists. Some examples of these are the Tenjo Tenge figures, the Gunslinger Girl figure, and the Neon Genesis Evangelion Rei & Asuka sets. Other limited release Pinky figures include the Arue figure (which was only available with the purchase of the Mahoroba Stories game for PS2, AirGear, CAPCOM's Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Post Pet, Mono Comme Ca (Japanese clothing store), Super Lovers, Fruits Basket, and Wild Arms.
A unique feature of the Pinky Street dolls is the interchangeable parts. The heads, hair styles, clothing and accessories can be easily switched between figures according to taste. Beyond the base sets available for purchase, the figures also enjoy an active customization community. Pinky garage kits are also available.
